Conway Wedding Photographer | Wedding Resources

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know I added a new page to my weblog. It’s called Wedding Resources. Which can be found under the Information menu up top.

This is where I will be adding a list of wedding service providers to help brides plan their wedding day.

Planning a wedding can really be stressful for a bride, and anything I can do to help lessen that, I will.

The list hasn’t grown to it’s full potential yet, but it is on it’s way!

If you know of someone that provides wedding day services for brides or you’re a provider yourself, email me some details to see about being added to the list.

Even if I’m not your wedding photographer (and yeah, that’s okay too), anything I can do to help brides on their day is an honor. Brides have enough to deal with and maybe this list will help in some way.

Thanks for reading my weblog and have a great day!

Conway Wedding Photography – Brandi + Jason

The clock was getting closer to the 1PM wedding start time and I arrived about 28 minutes ahead of schedule. I watched the snow melt away, it would have been nice to have had wedding pictures with snow covered grounds and all, but sadly it wasn’t meant to happen. And that is fairly typical here in the south, we can have six inches of snowfall over night, but yet have it melt away by noon that day!

There was one awesome thing that did happen though, and that was the wedding between Brandi and Jason! It was great seeing the love that they share for one another. Their wedding reminded me of my own wedding too. They had a ceremony only wedding, just themselves, just the pastor and his wife, just Gail and I.

It was lovely, just them getting married and expressing their love for each other, seeing their smiles and happiness and I was there capturing it! It could not have been any better, even if there wasn’t any snow on the ground!

Here are a few photos from their day.

Brandi and Jason, you both are beautiful and you had a beautiful wedding. May you have much happiness and success!

Conway Landscape Photographer – RiverTown Artwork

Something a little different for a change.

I have had these images for a while now, and recently decided to do a blog post about them. A few landmarks from around here at home.

First up, we have the old Conway Post Office, it was built around 1807. It is now home to the Horry County Museum. While it might not be all glorious as other buildings, it has stood the test of time and a testament to the builders of the day.

Old Conway Post Office

Next is the Peanut Warehouse, during it’s life it has served as a tobacco and fertilizer warehouse and hence it’s current name, a Peanut Warehouse. It helped define this river community during the turn of the century. Today it is used as a venue for weddings and party’s and social events.

Here we have the Waccamaw River Bridge that will lead you to Conway’s main street. Built in 1937, it has become a landmark in Conway. When someone says “meet me under the bridge” you know exactly where they are talking about. Many events are held each year under the bridge, to name one, the Bluegrass on the Waccamaw, a great Bluegrass music get together. This photo does not show the section that extends a fair distance over land where events are held.

Next is the Horry County Courthouse located on 3rd Avenue in downtown Conway. Built in 1908 it had only one main section and in the 50′s, two side wings were added, and yet as time moves on, even more has been added. The majestic Oak trees, glorious Magnolias, and spectacular Azaleas,  make this building really stand out.

I hope to capture more historic building and landmarks in and around Conway as time permits.

Thanks for looking.

Pawleys Island Wedding Photography – Kerri + Thomas

He loves her. He loves her with every ounce of his heart.

Thomas has always taken care of Kerri in such a tender and caring way that it was no surprise, when —after 6 years into their relationship— he asked for her hand in marriage. So it was fitting for the two of them to host a tender and caring wedding with no detail overlooked.

Over one hundred and thirty guests traveled to Pawleys Island for their ceremony and the Pawleys Island Chapel served as a gorgeous backdrop. With her rotunda suite overlooking the grand low country marsh in Litchfield, Kerri stepped onto the the weathered wood of the boardwalk and into the sun. As the band set up in the Tara Ballroom at Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort, she shielded her eyes from the bright sunlight with one hand and waved to her father with the other. Much like a princess in a tower, Kerri looked down hoping to maybe get a sneak peek of Thomas, but before she could, Kerri’s bridesmaids beckoned her to don her gown and prepare for her sunset ceremony.

I’m so calm right now, …I mean I have no reason to be nervous because I know, I know there’’s no one else but him. And with that, she and a group of girls traveled a busy low country highway to the chapel where Kerri blossomed into a Mrs. and shall continue to love Thomas tenderly for as long as they both shall live.

Thomas and Kerri, THANK YOU for everything. You treated us like royalty and always thought about our needs before your own, —it was definitely appreciated and did not go unnoticed! We enjoyed your wedding and spending the day with you both!

Here are some photos from their day.

Columbia Wedding Photography | Amanda + Billy

It was a rather warm and humid day with threatening rain clouds off in the distance. But Amanda took it all in stride and let nothing seem to worry her. Their wedding had been scheduled over the next two days, the ceremony on Friday and the reception on Saturday. I thought that was a very neat way to celebrate your wedding without all the hustle and bustle of trying to do everything in one day!

The ceremony took place at Amanda’s hometown church in Lancaster, SC, where family and a few friends had gathered for the exchange of vows. Amanda & Billy share a love that runs deep and wide and it shows! I’m so glad that I got to be a part of their day! After the vows were said, the rings exchanged, and the love in their eyes and on their face telling all, the wedding then moved to Columbia, SC, where the next day would hold THE party! But before the party, Billy’s mom hosted a wonderful dinner Friday night at Diannes on Devine, in honor of Amanda and Billy. The menu was awesome and the atmosphere was excellent! A great way to relax with friends and family sharing many toasts!

The reception was held in the Atrium at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia. What a great way to have a party with friends and family! The food was super delicious, the music rocked, and the bar was fabulous, not to mention a unique place to have a party! A great evening among guests, spending time with one another was just super fab!

Amanda and Billy’s honeymoon will be on a train ride through the Canadian Rocky Mountains! What a great way to begin their life together as husband and wife!
I wish you all the best Amanda and Billy, have a wonderful honeymoon and I’ll talk to you when you get back.

And now for some pictures from their wedding.
