Newsworthy bits from a husband and wife photography team. James Morton Photography

Busy weekend!

Wow, 6 am on a Monday morning! Where did the time go? It flies when you’re having fun!

This weekend was quite busy here. Did some “Spring” cleaning in October. :), re-arranged the office, painted some things, hung pictures on the wall, 2 truck loads of trash and unused items to the recycling centre and helped cook a Bar-B-Que dinner Saturday evening! mmmm BBQ and Old No. 7 :)

It’s quite funny how things seem to accumulate, stuff that had been sitting for almost a year, not used and gathering dust. I have a new philosophy now, if it is not used in 3 months, bye bye whatever it is, I didn’t need it to begin with.
I think I gained about 25sq. ft. in the office after I cleaned out the rubbish.

I’m looking forward to this coming week, I have 2 shoots with clients scheduled, and finishing up 2 orders to be printed.

My oldest son, Jay. He picked out a Blackberry cell phone for himself this weekend, I’m looking forward to it getting here, I might get one myself!
Poor Eric on the other hand, was quite disappointed, he has to wait until Christmas for his cell phone. They say good things come to those who wait, right? ;)

Well, it’s time to start getting ready for another week of work, I’m already looking forward to the coming weekend! :)

Till next time,
-James

Tropical Storm Hanna

We survived tropical storm Hanna!
Actually, Hanna didn’t really do anything but bring about 5 inches of rain that we really needed. The winds were pretty much not a factor. The strongest wind we had in our neighborhood was about 35 mph.

All the moving of outdoor items such as, patio chairs, potted plants, tables, swings, trampoline and everything else that could have blown around was not really needed. But hey!, at least the yard looks better! :)

Clean up after the storm will be pretty easy, we have about 11 limbs, small ones at that, to pickup.
And of course, I have to put everything, that I put up, back out in it’s place…lol

All in all, Hanna was just a bad thunderstorm, she could’ve been worse but thankfully she wasn’t.

Oh yeah, the frogs! wow…..they would not shut up!!! ALL night long they croaked their hearts out! Had to be hundreds of them, unbelievable how loud they were! They kept me awake during the night and I bet they will want to sleep today, but not on my watch! It’s my turn now…mu ha haha
