It doesn’t seem like it has been 12 years since he started school and here he is graduating next month!
He will be graduating from Carolina Forest High School this June 3rd. I’m very proud of him and all that he has accomplished these last 4 years of school!
Carolina Forest High School is his “base” school, he has attended class at the Academy for Technology and Academics (ATA)  for his junior and senior year.

I will be updating the blog with posts, as we follow his last month of high school and the party that will follow that weekend!! :D

Here are some pics of his Cap and Invites. I love the CF logo!

Congratulations Jay!!

Co-op Connections Program at James Morton Photography

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to let you know about a super new discount program that I’m part of.

It’s called the Co-op Connections Program. A program that benefits electric cooperative members by offering valuable discounts from participating businesses.

Co-op Connections | James Morton Photography

So, for every member of Horry Electric Cooperative, Inc., even other out of town Touchstone Energy® Cooperative members, you will get a discount on all my products.
All you have to do is present your card when reserving your wedding date or placing a print, album or CD of images order from a portrait session, and I will apply the discount.
It’s super easy and you get to save some money!

BTW, The card, it’s FREE! Each member of Horry Electric receives the Co-op Connections card free. There’s no sign-up. No annual fee. You get your Co-op Connections card simply because you’re a member of Horry Electric. It’s just one more way you benefit from being a cooperative member.

But honestly, it’s more than just saving money, I mean everyone likes that right? but it’s a family thing, a coop family, it means getting great service from great people for…great people such as you, the electric cooperative member!

I’m really excited about offering hometown people a hometown discount on things that they will cherish forever, beautiful photographs!

Just remember, show me the card, and I will give you your discount!

A few notes, updates, memos, and blah blah blah…

Just a few things I would like to share since my last post. ;)

I am having a special this month and during July for portrait sessions. With every booked session you will get an extra 10% off every print order, and also receive a SECOND free 8×10 print of your choice from your photography session! Spots are filling fast and the weather is getting hotter, be sure to book early!

I’m also very grateful for my clients, for giving me their trust, to provide beautiful, timeless photographs that will be here for many years to come. I love making awesome photos for the most awesome people! I LOVE my clients!! They are the greatest!

In some other news, I had a pretty good week at my part time job, except for the fact I made a boo boo on one case, I used the wrong material and had to start over! I hold myself to a higher standard and re-makes don’t make the grade! I was sooo upset at myself!

What’s a BLOG post without some pictures you say? Okay…I hear you loud and clear! :D

Here are a few of photos from some of Gail’s Calla Lilies. These things are sooo beautiful and they get pretty big too! well at least the leaves do.

Princess also known as Peaches, was out and about, but she preferred not to have her photo taken this day.
She ignored me the whole time I was out with the camera, as soon as the camera was put away, she was VERY playful and wanted much attention!

My youngest son Eric, had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago. He is a sprite young man of 14 now! He thinks he knows everything! :)
We had a great time at his party, plenty of hot dogs and drinks for an army! One of his presents was a LG enV 2 cell phone! He has been asking for one for the last longest. He can now text till his thumbs are sore! Go get’em tiger!

Here he is with the cake ( a darned good tasting cake I might add) just before the candles were snuffed out. I think he was expecting a bigger cake though!

Oh yeah! Chasity…I’m getting excited about your wedding next weekend! You are going to look beautiful and the wedding will be awesome! I can’t wait!

Forest Fire!

There is still a HUGE forest fire burning about 4 miles from my home. It started around noon today and has burned over 1000 acres. No let up in intensity is forecast.
The wind today has been…well, very windy! It has been blowing steady at 15 to 20mph with gusts up to 35mph. I’m glad I’m on the backside of this monster!

Biggest full moon of the year.

After seeing the full moon last night and then hearing about how it was the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. I decided to try and capture a few shots.
There not the greatest for sure, but I’m happy with what I was able to get.

I hope you were able to see the big moon last night, it was a beauty!

Busy weekend!

Wow, 6 am on a Monday morning! Where did the time go? It flies when you’re having fun!

This weekend was quite busy here. Did some “Spring” cleaning in October. :), re-arranged the office, painted some things, hung pictures on the wall, 2 truck loads of trash and unused items to the recycling centre and helped cook a Bar-B-Que dinner Saturday evening! mmmm BBQ and Old No. 7 :)

It’s quite funny how things seem to accumulate, stuff that had been sitting for almost a year, not used and gathering dust. I have a new philosophy now, if it is not used in 3 months, bye bye whatever it is, I didn’t need it to begin with.
I think I gained about 25sq. ft. in the office after I cleaned out the rubbish.

I’m looking forward to this coming week, I have 2 shoots with clients scheduled, and finishing up 2 orders to be printed.

My oldest son, Jay. He picked out a Blackberry cell phone for himself this weekend, I’m looking forward to it getting here, I might get one myself!
Poor Eric on the other hand, was quite disappointed, he has to wait until Christmas for his cell phone. They say good things come to those who wait, right? ;)

Well, it’s time to start getting ready for another week of work, I’m already looking forward to the coming weekend! :)

Till next time,
-James
